  • How to Use

    There is more than one way to use Mumtaz Kashmiri Basaar Spice Mix

     Here’s an easy cooking tip for 500g of protein or vegetables.

    1. Heat 100ml cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 2 medium-sized, finely chopped onions, and fry until golden brown.
    2. Add 2 tablespoons of garlic & ginger paste, fry for 1 minute, then add 3-4 chopped tomatoes or 1 tin of tomatoes. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
    3. Add 500g protein (on or off the bone) or vegetables of your choice to the pan along with 1 tablespoon of Mumtaz Kashmiri Basaar Spice Mix, and add salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes, ensuring the spices are slightly cooked.
    4. Pour 250ml of water into the pan, mix well, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer gently for 30-35 minutes. Stir occasionally until the oil rises and the protein is fully cooked. If needed, add more water during cooking, ensuring the protein is cooked.
    5. Once the protein is cooked and the desired consistency is reached, garnish with freshly chopped coriander.
    6. Serve hot with naan, chapati, or rice, and enjoy your perfect Mumtaz Curry at home.

    Note: Adjust the spice level according to your preference by increasing or decreasing the amount of Mumtaz Kashmiri Basaar Spice Mix.
