  • How to Use

There is more than one way to use our Mumtaz Paya Masala Spice Mix

Here’s an easy cooking tip for 1kg of paya (trotters).

    1. Heat 100ml cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 1 medium-sized, finely chopped onion, and fry until golden brown.
    2. Add 2 tablespoons of garlic & ginger paste to the pot and fry for a few minutes.
    3. Add 1kg of paya (trotters) into the pot along with 3 tablespoons of Mumtaz Paya Masala Spice Mix or more if you like it stronger, then mix well.
    4. Add 3 litres of hot water, bring to a boil, then cover the pot with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for around 3 hours, stir occasionally, until the Paya is tender. If needed, add more water during cooking to ensure the Paya is nicely tendered.
    5. Continue cooking until the gravy reaches your desired consistency.
    6. Garnish the Paya with fresh ginger shreds, and green chilies.
    7. Serve hot with naan or chapati, and enjoy your perfect homemade Mumtaz Paya.

Note: Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less Mumtaz Paya Masala Spice Mix.
