  • How to Use

    There is more than one way to use our Mumtaz Paya Masala Spice Mix

     Here’s an easy cooking tip for 1kg of paya (trotters).

    1) Heat 100ml of oil in a pan then add 1 medium-sized finely chopped onion, and fry slightly.

    2) Add 2 tablespoons of garlic & ginger paste, and fry for a further few minutes.

    3) Add 1kg of paya along with 2 tablespoons of Mumtaz Paya Masala (More if you like it stronger) and mix well.

    4) Add 2 litres of hot water, mix well and add salt to taste, then bring to a boil & cover with a lid, simmer gently for around 2.5-3 hours, stir occasionally.

    5) Check that the trotters are tender; if not, add more water and cook until fully cooked.

    6) Cook the gravy to your desired consistency.

    7) Garnish with fresh chopped coriander, fresh ginger shreds and green chillies then enjoy the perfect Mumtaz Paya at Home.
